Network Simulator 2
Iam doing my MSc project named " Modelling of Packet Buffering over fading
wireless channel"
I have to perform the following tasks: 1 – learn about NS2 2 - Build
simple M/D/1 model of packet buffer in NS2, and validate against theory. 3
– drive voice (Poisson) traffic a single buffer, and study performance of
packets (loss + delay) 4 – allow the buffer output rate to vary according
to a Markov Process (this is probably easiest achieved if you vary the
INPUT rate such that a higher i/p rate is the same as a lower o/p rate and
vice versa. This will work with Poisson traffic. 5 – study what happens
(in terms of loss and delay) when the o/p rate is slowly varying, as
compared to rapidly varying, as compared to not varying at all (standard
M/D/1 queue).
So far I have completed till step 3 can someone help me to proceed further.
Regards, Hash
